WPTV Airs Specials to Protect Beaches, Waterways, Wetlands

Scripps’ NBC affiliate WPTV West Palm Beach aired Protecting Paradise specials, which are focused on multiple environmental issues, ranging from beach bacteria and turtles to aquaculture during WPTV’s morning news and its 5 o’clock news every day during Earth Week. To culminate the week, WPTV, along with Keep Palm Beach Beautiful, supported and encouraged viewers to sign up to volunteer for the April 27 Great American Cleanup. “WPTV’s significant commitment to environmental issues is being made with the consultation of who matters most to us, our viewers and our community,” said Lloyd Bucher, WPTV’s general manager.
