Nexstar’s NBC affiliate KLAF-LD and Fox affiliate KADN-TV Lafayette, LA introduced local news on April 1. Nexstar recently added over two dozen news personnel and purchased new weather technology and traffic systems. The expanded team of journalists with unique ties to Louisiana will provide viewers with more relevant local news content. The new full-day local news schedule begins April 4. KLAF will air local news on weekdays from 5 - 7 a.m. and at 5, 6 and 10 p.m.; plus Saturdays at 6 and 10 p.m. and Sundays at 5 and 10 p.m. KADN will air newscasts weekdays at 9 p.m.
“This is a very exciting time for KLAF-KADN and our local viewers as the expansion will increase our locally-produced news, lifestyle, sports, weather and community programming to over 22 hours per week, with 24/7 access to additional compelling local content online at CajunFirst.com,” said General Manager Tom Poehler.
