San Antonio Station Investigates Uvalde Accountability

After the Robb Elementary School shooting, the City of Uvalde, Texas, hired the Austin area investigator, Jesse Prado, to lead the investigation, though he had no active shooter response training. Through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement records, an investigation by Graham Media Group’s KSAT 12 News found that Jesse Prado had not had any active shooter training during his 20 years with the Austin Police Department. Texas has now mandated “all officers, not just school police, take 16 hours of active shooter training every two years.”
