As part of Hearst Television’s Project CommUNITY, WVTM 13 in Birmingham, Ala., highlighted a program from a teacher in John S. Jones Elementary School called “Boys 2 Men.” Male faculty at the school gather monthly to teach students practical life skills. "Since I started teaching, I’ve always had a heart for the boys that don’t have fathers, who need a positive role model,” Matthew Lloyd told the station. “My dad passed away in 2009, and I use the values he passed on to me every day."
