Nexstar Media Group’s KXAN in Austin, Texas, helped collect 740 fans and more than $231,000 to help neighbors in need combat dangerous temperatures. Family Eldercare has been running the drive for more than 30 years. The 2023 drive came during a week with multiple days in a row topping out over 100°.
