When a low-flying plane began moving erratically over a populated area in Tupelo, Miss., calm coverage from Allen Media’s WTVA kept the community safe and informed. Meteorologist Matt Laubhan used his experience to report on the plane’s flight pattern. He and anchor Craig Ford “stuck to the facts, demonstrating why people still trust local television more than any other media,” according to TVNewsCheck’s Hank Price.
