“The Morning Bullpen” from Audacy-owned 100.3 The Bull in Houston, Texas, collected 32,793 thank-you cards as part of their “10K for the Troops” campaign. The morning show asked listeners to write a thank you card for active-duty soldiers. Houston-area Texas Roadhouse restaurants and country stars including Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, Eli Young Band, Chase Rice and Carly Pearce participated in the campaign.
“I got to chat with a green beret who told me about a card his platoon received from a young girl,” said The Morning Bullpen co-host Erik Smith. “The girl’s unicorn drawing became the platoon’s mascot. These little things have a big impact.”
