On Saturday, September 25, WXXX-FM Burlington, VT celebrated the music of Burlington’s own 99 Neighbors -- the first Hip hop act from Burlington to be signed to a major label. The station hosted a concert with the group to celebrate their success.
"We have a good relationship with Warner Music, who signed the group, and from working in this business, I know how hard it is for an artist (or group) to get a deal and break through," said Kwame Dankwa, 95 Triple X program director and afternoon talent. "That’s why we celebrated their success -- being a Hip Hop act from this area is no easy task, and these guys did it!"
