Nexstar Broadcasting hosted the first debate on October 9 in the race for one of Texas’ U.S. Senate seats between U.S. Sen. John Cornyn and his Democratic challenger, MJ Hegar. The one-hour event aired on 15 Nexstar stations across the state and also streamed live online.
