WKMG Investigates Police Brutality and Policing

Graham Media Group’s WKMG Orlando, Fla., investigated stories of police brutality following the death of George Floyd and subsequent protests. Coverage spotlighted community activists determined to make a difference, and elevated the role conversation plays in demanding change for the community. WKMG created a dedicated station webpage to host resources and stories.

The station also pivoted pivoted the focus of their franchise, “Getting Crime Results” to examine the relationship between law enforcement and communities. Investigations put a spotlight on how agencies are altering training and improving community policing.
