Saga Communications’ KJBX-FM, KDXY-FM, KEGI-FM and Gray Television’s ABC/CW/NBC affiliate KAIT-TV Jonesboro, Ark., raised more than $400,000 for Make-A-Wish in the 22nd annual “Have A Heart Wish-A-Thon” on February 21. The event was broadcast across all four stations. Employees also stood in freezing temperatures to collect donations at 18 locations.
“This is the type of localism that keeps radio and television not just relevant but a vibrant part of our communities,” said Saga Jonesboro’s Vice President and General Manager Terry Stafford.
