Beasley’s WMMR-FM Philadelphia collected a record 2.6 million pounds of food and $200,000 during the annual Preston & Steve Camp Out For Hunger event, held December 2 - 6.
Station personalities Preston and Steve lived in a parking lot in South Philadelphia for the week to collect food donations. The donations benefit Philabundance, the Delaware Valley’s largest hunger relief organization.
WMMR hosted multiple free events at night during the week, including the official “Preston & Steve Calendar Release Party,” a comedy night and watch parties for Sixers and Flyers games.
