Scripps’ ABC affiliate WMAR-TV hosted its “Fill the House” event on October 16 to benefit House of Ruth Maryland, which provides services to victims of intimate partner abuse. Listeners donated enough supplies to fill a truck with items such as diapers, wipes, new women and children’s underwear, comforters, sheets and pillows. They also received $3,500 in donations from and $2,000 in gift cards.
