Tribune Media’s WREG-TV Memphis, Tenn., received the Service to Community Award for Television – Medium Market at the NAB Leadership Foundation 2019 Service to America Awards Gala in Washington, D.C. WREG received the honor for their continued support of the LeBonheur Children’s Hospital through Go Jim Go!

To support the hospital’s mission to provide care to children in need, WREG meteorologist Jim Jagger bikes 333 miles through the community each fall. Along the way, he and his team collect donations raised by churches, schools and other community organizations. While Jim rides, WREG highlights the lifesaving work performed at LeBonheur. In 2018, the event raised $370,000. Since the inaugural ride, the station has donated $2.9 million.
