Graham’s NBC affiliate KPRC-TV Houston spent Military Appreciation Month saluting the service and sacrifice of service members through on-air and digital campaigns featuring active-duty and veteran military members as well as their families. Houston-area veterans were asked to speak out on topics like their reasons for enlisting, life lessons learned and veteran-based issues that they would like to address. The campaign encouraged viewers to send care packages consisting of new and unused personal hygiene items, unworn socks, snacks, reading materials and any other items that would lift the spirits of the brave men and women serving in combat zones and overseas.
