Alpha Media’s WIBW-FM and KTPK-FM Topeka hosted their annual Country Cares Radiothon on February 14 and 15 in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Thanks to a strong community of devoted local listeners, the stations raised more than $81,000, a record-braking amount. Market Manager, Larry Riggins siad “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has a special place in the hearts of our Alpha Media Topeka staff. We have been raising money for St. Jude since the very first Radiothon in the early ’80s and we’ll continue to do so until childhood cancer no longer exists. Thank you to our dedicated staff and our thousands of loyal listeners without whom this would never be possible.”
