WHWY-FM Supports Toys for Tots

Community Broadcasters’ WHWY-FM Fort Walton Beach, Fla., collected a record 2,000 bicycles for Toys for Tots during its eighth annual “Bikes or Bust,” held November 30 – December 3. Afternoon host Bo Reynolds lived on a 30-foot platform for four days, despite heavy rain, to raise awareness. Four hundred bikes went to the area most impacted by Hurricane Michael.

“Each one of these bikes represents a child that on Christmas morning is going to wake up and have something that they otherwise wouldn’t have,” Reynolds said. “If we can make their Christmas just a little brighter, that’s what we set out to do.”
