Hearst’s ABC affiliate WCVB Boston hosted a live, one-hour prime time gubernatorial debate on November 1 between incumbent Gov. Charlie Baker and Democratic challenger Jay Gonzalez. WCVB Anchor Maria Stephanos and Boston University’s WBUR-FM host Bob Oakes moderated the event, with panelists from WBUR-FM, The Boston Globe, the University of Massachusetts and Western Mass News.
WCVB also partnered with statewide media outlets to host a live, prime-time U.S. Senate race debate on October 30 between incumbent Senator Elizabeth Warren and State Representative Geoff Diehl.
