Univision Arizona partnered with the Arizona SciTech Festival and Univision’s TECHNOLOchicas to launch #UniAZ Tech Media Day in January. More than 80 students between grades 7 – 12 from different local schools participated and learned about cell phone technology, plus how to record and edit interviews and news stories on cell phones. Univision’s news and social media teams served as facilitators. In addition, the students listened to a panel of women currently working in careers related to STEAM. The students’ edited stories were then aired on “Edición Digital: Arizona” (Digital Edition: Arizona), a 30-minute newscast.
