Mission Broadcasting’s CBS affiliate WYOU Scranton, Pa. raised $2.66 million for Children’s Miracle network in its 33rd annual telethon, June 3-4. The money pays for hospital infrastructure and equipment, including ventilators for premature babies, car seats, reading programs and camps for children. WYOU aired stories from patients, including four-year-old Carter who has undergone three open heart surgeries. The telethon also included a craft fair, children’s activities and the Motorcycle Miracle Tour.
