American Broadcasting Company’s ABC affiliate WFAA-TV Dallas was the media sponsor for the Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day. The station provided extensive coverage, including news segments, PSA airtime and online news stories.. A record $33.1 million was raised in 18 hours. More than 2,000 north Texas non-profits benefitted from the event.
