Hearst Television’s CBS affiliate WLKY-TV Louisville, Ken. shared an inspiring story in mid-January about helmet safety. One day in 2010, TJ was riding his bike and crashed it. He was not wearing a helmet, and suffered a life-altering brain surgery. “It’s the ‘good news,’ inspirational type of story viewers always say they want,” says Andrea Stahlman, news director of WLKY. Stahlman wrote and co-produced the special with WLKY photojournalist Scott Echhardt. Click the link to view the story, The Invisible Journey.
