LIN Media’s ABC affiliate WTNH-TV New Haven, Conn. collected more than 1,000 toys for Toys for Tots during the station’s GR8 Holiday Give. WTNH-TV turned the toy drive into a fun competition between the station’s news and weather teams by asking participants to choose a "team tag" of news or weather when donating a toy. The station tracked each team’s progress online using a bar graph.
