WHAS-TV, CBS Philly Collects $2 Million for Pediatric Cancer Research

CBS-owned KYW-TV and The CW affiliate WPSG-TV Philadelphia hosted the eighth annual "Alex Scott Phone Bank," a 14-hour on-air benefit for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which supports pediatric cancer research. The day-long telethon raised more than $2 million, a record for the fundraiser which began in 2007. Over the past eight years, the event has raised more than $9 million for the cause.
