Univision’s KXLN-TV and ABC-owned KTRK-TV Houston partnered to host an Affordable Care Act (ACA) phone bank on March 5 at the Univision Houston studios in Texas. The general public was invited to call in to get their ACA questions answered by qualified, bilingual volunteers from the Texas Organizing Project. The goal of the phone bank was to provide the general public with information about the benefits and implications of the health reforms and to explain the registration process. The phone bank receieved 704 calls. Both KXLN-TV and KTRK-TV covered the event live on their evening newscasts.
