Scripps-owned WXYZ-TV Southfield, Mich., recently aired an investigative piece that uncovered the numerous broken highway lights scattered across southeastern Michigan. The report prompted the Michigan Department of Transportation to announce a sweeping effort to repair approximately 1,300 lights by the end of the summer. WXYZ-TV highlighted an infrastructure problem in the state and helped to find a solution for the community. Click here to view the video.
