Scripps Media’s ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV Detroit held the Together We Can food drive to help fight hunger in Detroit during the holiday season. Throughout the month of November, viewers were encouraged to drop off non-perishable items at locations across the Detroit metro area. In total, the campaign collected more than 13,200 pounds of food, which was distributed to local soup kitchens, shelters and pantries.
