WABC-TV and WXTV-TV to Host Debates for New York City Mayor and Comptroller

ABC-owned WABC-TV and Univision’s WXTV-TV New York announced it will host the first major television debates for the New York City mayoral races in its studio this month. The Republican debate will be broadcast on August 11, while the Democrats will air on August 13. WABC-TV and WXTV-TV will also hold the first television debate for the Democratic candidates for New York City Comptroller on August 11. All the debates are being co-sponsored the New York Daily News and the League of Women Voters of the City of New York, as part of the "Vote 2013" series.
