Beasley’s WKXC-FM Collects 20,000 Goods for Troops Overseas

For the second year in a row, Beasley Broadcast Group’s WKXC-FM Augusta, Ga., partnered with several local businesses for Operation Hand Warmer, a drive to collect hand warmers and other items for troops serving overseas in Afghanistan. Listeners dropped off donations at the local businesses, and after less than a week, over 20,000 hand warmers and other rations had been collected and packed for delivery. This year’s operation surpassed the previous by more than 5,000 items.
