Entercom’s WAAF-FM Boston hosted "WAAF’s Rise Up Against Hunger." Cranes lifted on-air personalities LB and Spaz onto sky-high platforms, where they lived for three days to raise money for the Greater Boston, Worcester County and New Hampshire food banks. WAAF-FM’s Greg Hill stayed on air around the clock for the three days to encourage donations and listener visits. For the past 20 years, WAAF-FM personalities have engaged in various stunts for charity. This year’s promotion raised more than $76,000.
