CBS Radio’s KCBS-AM and KFRC-FM San Francisco, with sponsor CSE Insurance, staged a cooking competition to raise money for firefighters. Three teams led by celebrity chefs competed at Lafitte Restaurant.
CSE and the Los Angeles Fireman’s Credit Union and Firefighter Insurance Services donated $10,000 to the California Fire Foundation and Fire Family Foundation on behalf of the winners and $2,000 in the name of the runners-up.
CBS-owned KCBS-AM’s "Foodie Chap" and CBS’s KPIX-TV host Liam Mayclem emceed the event. State Senators Mark Leno and Leland Yee attended.
