Eau Claire radio station WAYY Sports Talk 105.1 created the “Backyard Dreams” charity to help fulfill the wishes of local children and adults. In December, “Backyard Dreams” helped a 14-year-old boy with rare eye disease realize his dream of seeing LeBron James play basketball. The station provided the boy and his family tickets to the L.A. Lakers versus Milwaukee Bucks basketball game and arranged early access to watch the players warm-up, plus signed Giannis Antetokounmpo jersey.

“Backyard Dreams” also recently worked with a local business to create the “Dan Kasper Brat,” named after the host of “The Dan Kasper Show.” Portions of the proceeds went to The Miracle League. The effort raised thousands of dollars.
