Alpha Media’s WHBC-AM/FM Canton, Ohio, raised $213,000 in the “Wishes Can Happen” radiothon held August 9 – 10. Families with sick children shared how their lives were touched by granted wishes, such as princess birthday parties, meeting celebrities, shopping sprees, room remodels, backyard swing sets, Disney experiences and trips to New York City, the San Diego Zoo, and Arizona dude ranches. Special tributes were made for children that didn’t survive their illnesses.
