Raycom Hawaii Investigates Mental Illness Among Homeless

Raycom Media’s KHNL Honolulu produced a series of follow up stories on two homeless people - Donna and Ben - who were featured in a previous special report "Prescribing Hope." Each suffered from an undiagnosed mental illness but agreed to take injections of psychiatric medication that transformed their lives. The follow-up reports, one year after beginning treatment, prove that each continues to make significant progress, with both off the streets, living in apartments, and continuing their recovery.
