Cumulus Des Moines Hosts Record-Setting FriendsGiving

Cumulus Media Des Moines hosted a world-record setting FriendsGiving on November 6 to bring awareness and donations of food and clothes for local people in need. More than 600 people participated in the Guinness World Record for the "Largest Number of People Breaking Bread" and enjoyed a traditional holiday meal per day. The event benefited Hope Ministries, which feeds about 450 people per day. “We tried to come up with a fun way to get people talking about it and engaged in the conversation of how they can help people right in their community with clothes and food donations," said Event organizer, Elizabeth Stewart.
