KHOU-TV Receives Multiple Media Awards

Tegna Media’s CBS affiliate KHOU-TV Houston was honored with multiple awards at the annual Lone Star Awards banquet by the Houston Press Club. In 2016, the station took home 14 Lone Star Awards, more than any other media organization in Texas, including television, radio, magazines and public relations. First Place Winning entries for the station included:

• TV Journalist Of The Year: 1st place: Scott Noll
• TV Breaking News: 1st place: Marcelino Benito, Scott McKenney– “Shots Fired Into Crowd At Vigil”
• TV Investigative Series: 1st place: Jeremy Rogalski, Keith Tomshe– “Keeping HPD Honest”
• Internet Collaborative News Reporting: 1st place: KHOU.com – “Fallen Deputy Darren Goforth”
