WCVB Presents College Scholarships

Hearst’s ABC affiliate WCVB-TV Boston presented the 19th annual “Kirby Perkins A Plus Scholarship” on June 7 to five high school students, many of whom have overcome significant obstacles to achieve academic success and attend college. The scholarship fund honors late WCVB reporter Kirby Perkins and has awarded more than $250,000 to date. “Helping these very deserving young men and women pursue higher education and embark on a new chapter in their lives through Kirby Perkins A Plus Scholarship Fund brings great joy to everyone involved," said WCVB General Manager Bill Fine.
