WAFB Partners with the Susan G. Komen Foundation

Raycom Media’s CBS affiliate WAFB-TV Baton Rouge partnered with the Baton Rouge chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the 20th annual “Race for the Cure” on March 5. Nearly 75 percent of the organization’s net income goes toward funding grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education, screenings and treatment programs, specifically for underserved women. The remaining net income supports national foundation efforts.
