KRGV-TV’s “Tim’s Coats” Event Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Manship Family’s ABC affiliate KRGV-TV Weslaco, Tex. celebrated the 30th anniversary of “Tim’s Coats,” a program that distributes winter coats. Texas’ Rio Grande Valley is one of the poorest areas in the U.S., with an 85 percent poverty rate. Each winter, KRGV-TV partners with the Southwest Dry Cleaners Association to clean, mend and distribute donated coats. In 30 years, the program has distributed over 250,000 coats.
