New York Stations Air Mayor’s Race Debates

Democratic and Republican candidates for New York Mayor will participate in two debates each, ahead of the September primaries. Candidates have met frequently in other forums, but the Campaign Finance Board (CFB) acknowledged that debates aired on local television and radio stations reach more voters. Debate sponsors include New York’s WNBC-TV (NBC), WNJU-TV (Telemundo) and WCBS-TV (CBS).
