Raycom Media’s KHNL-TV and KGMB-TV Honolulu recently televised a mayoral debate. Candidates debated a variety of issues, including funding for a railway and other transit projects, homelessness, urban development, sewer systems and landfills. Current mayor Peter Carlisle also fielded questions and comments related to his job performance over the past term.
