WRBT-FM Listeners Aid Pennsylvania Family that Lost Seven Children in Recent House Fire

Topic: Neighbors in Need

Clear Channel’s WRBT-FM Harrisburg, Pa., raised $30,000 in 14 hours to support the Clouse family, a Pennsylvania couple who recently lost seven children in a local house fire. WRBT-FM’s "Nancy and Newman Morning Show" led the station’s effort, accepting listeners’ pledges and auctioning several items donated by top country music artists. "We are not doing this to pat ourselves on the back and say ’Hey, look at what a good thing we’re doing.’ I felt compelled. We needed to do something," Newman said. Contributions are still being accepted for the Clouse Family Fund, c/o Church of the Living Christ, P.O. Box 180, Loysville, PA 17047.
